The monkeys at Banana Name like to hit the town for a bite to eat from time to time, but one thing they really hate is when they go to what they’ve heard is a great restaurant only to have a marginal meal. It turns out that this is largely due to the monkey’s inability to determine what the RIGHT thing to order is when they go to a restaurant. They’ve been known to do crazy stuff, like order a fish sandwich at iHop.

Then, along came Menuism, which is designed to deal with the exact problem the monkeys face. Menuism enables restaurant goers to rate individual items on the menus of restaurants they visit so future restaurant goers (including monkeys) will know what to order and what to avoid.

Starting today, Menuism is going to run Food Fight competitions to determine where the best meals can be found in cities across the United States. Contest #1: Where can you find the best pancakes in Chicago, Seattle, New York, or San Francisco?
